For the past 14 years, Timothy B. McCormack has enjoyed an outstanding career practicing intellectual property and business law. Currently, he offers his services out of his private firm located in Seattle, Washington. Mr. McCormack handles cases relating to various business concerns, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, unfair competition, and licensing.

Since launching his firm in 2001, Mr. McCormack has been involved in many high-profile cases. He has served as outside counsel for Getty Images, which is the world’s largest stock photography company. He has lead outside counsel for a more than 200-hour intellectual property audit for Microsoft Corporation. Additionally, Timothy B. McCormack has helped with licensing agreements with 20th Century Fox, the National Football League, and Major League Baseball.

Prior to starting his firm, Timothy B. McCormack spent one year as the lead intellectual property attorney at a small firm in Redmond. There, he worked in all areas of intellectual property and was a key player in bringing Microsoft work to the firm.

Mr. McCormack began his legal career in 1998 as an attorney and law clerk for one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in Seattle. In this role, Timothy B. McCormack worked extensively with technology clients on matters pertaining to computer software.

Timothy B. McCormack earned his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Washington, graduating cum laude. An outstanding student, Mr. McCormack was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society, and was named to the National Dean’s List. He went on to complete his Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Oregon School of Law. There, Timothy B. McCormack received an intellectual property certificate and maintained a 3.53 grade point average in those classes. He also served as president of the intellectual property student organization and was an intellectual property moot court team member.
